It’s frustrating to me when people say they watched the first season and stopped, or second season and stopped. It’s the equivalent of watching a football game where your team, at first quarter, is down 7 points, and you decide to leave the stadium and go home because you think they already lost. Surely, most people would root on, and have faith that they’ll come back and win, why not put that trust into a television show?

Personally, I never saw Lost as the team that was down a few points, so I suppose it’s hard for me to understand why people get turned away from the show. All the oddities, from the polar bears to the smoke monster, give the show the mystery and excitement that keeps me watching, but I guess others don’t see it that way. And for that, I feel sorry for them, because they’re the ones missing out on a truly epic story!
